Professor Don Larew was a member of the North Dakota State University Theatre Arts faculty since 1969 and retired in May 2009. He taught costume, scenic, and makeup design classes, designs and supervises scenic design work for the theatre program, and serves as Artistic Director for Little Country Theatre, the producing/artistic arm of the Department of Theatre Arts. He has also directed a number of musical theatre productions for the LCT and the Music Department’s opera workshops.
Professor Larew has also been active as a free-lance designer, having designed productions for the Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre, Fargo-Moorhead Opera, North Dakota Repertory Theatre, Red River Dance and Performing Company, Carousel Dance Theatre, and Ursa Major Productions. Since 1972, he has been an annual designer for Sceno-graphics, located in New Wilmington, PA.
